The View From The Paddock becomes first horse racing outlet to launch on CounterPress

And they're off! A new site dedicated entirely to in-depth coverage of horse racing is set to launch on CounterPress.

The View From The Paddock will hit the ground running in the coming weeks, and promises to shake up coverage of racing in the UK.

The site is fronted by lifelong racing enthusiast Peter Moore, host of the View From The Paddock show on Radio Woking, where he is also head of sport.

View From The Paddock members can look forward to regular reports, interviews and reaction from meetings across the country, along with all the latest racing news and views.

The site will also be a new home for Peter’s weekly View From The Paddock show.

Peter said: “I'm a lifelong racing fan, going back to my youth - yes all those years ago!

“I first got into the world of horse racing through my uncle, who owned a horse called Beholden many years ago.

“Ten months ago I went to my station manager at the time to suggest the idea of presenting a weekly show devoted exclusively to racing. After two weeks on air, my station manager decided that due to its popularity, the show should be extended to two hours and the success of it has gone from strength to strength. It involves all my interviews from the world of racing.

“I feel that as the second most-watched sport in the country, horse racing should get the exposure it fully deserves, which at the moment is lacking in a very big way.

“With View From The Paddock, I fully believe I can give racing fans, both old and new, the service they have lacked for a long time.”

View From The Paddock's early interest waiting list is now open ahead of a full launch in the coming weeks.

View From The Paddock becomes the first racing title to launch on CounterPress, taking the number of sports covered on the platform to eight.

Football, cricket, rugby union, futsal, esports, badminton and motorbike racing are already represented on the network, with further expansion into rugby league and ice hockey planned.

CounterPress offers the technical infrastructure and industry knowledge and support that journalists and creators need to build their own media brand.
