The Quartermen to offer energetic and enthusiastic coverage of Wycombe Wanderers from summer 2026

A new era of Wycombe Wanderers coverage arrives on CounterPress this summer, as The Quartermen steps up to deliver a regular, high-quality editorial product for Chairboys supporters.

The Quartermen is the latest outlet to join a growing roster of dedicated sports websites on the CounterPress network, building on an already established presence within the Wycombe Wanderers community.

Led by Jayden Wilkins and supported by a team of writers, the site was founded in 2025 and is already generating close to 10,000 monthly visits.

Its focus is simple: energetic, enthusiastic and insightful coverage of events at Adams Park, delivered with a genuine fan perspective.

The move onto CounterPress will provide The Quartermen with access to inbuilt platform functionality, alongside expert support across branding, development, editorial direction and commercial strategy.

A shared vision

Founder Jayden Wilkins believes the move represents a major step forward for the outlet’s ambitions.

“I’m absolutely over the moon to have The Quartermen joining up with the CounterPress network, as we continue our mission of becoming the go-to outlet for Wycombe Wanderers content.

The reception we’ve seen in our short time so far has been outstanding, and I’m so proud and grateful for everything we’ve achieved. CounterPress now offers us an exceptional opportunity to go even further than we ever thought we could.

When I saw Sam’s site, The Moonraker, I knew this was exactly the direction I wanted to take The Quartermen in. We align on our goals for the future of written coverage in English football, and we firmly believe this move will help us become the number one outlet for Wycombe Wanderers coverage.”

What comes next

The Quartermen will formally launch on CounterPress on 1 June, with early access and interest open now.

Wycombe supporters are invited to join the waiting list to get an early look at what’s coming, with exclusive perks available to those who sign up ahead of launch.

Part of a growing network

The Quartermen becomes the sixth football outlet announced on CounterPress, joining:

  • The Moonraker (Swindon Town)
  • From Bromley With Love
  • The New Pilgrim (Plymouth Argyle)
  • For Fox Sake (Leicester City)
  • The Sixty Six (England)

Filling the gap

CounterPress co-founder Sam Morshead believes the timing is right for a new voice covering Wycombe Wanderers.

“This is a really exciting development for Wycombe fans. The local media’s coverage of their club has been steadily diluted over recent years, leaving a considerable gap for energetic, enthusiastic and engaging reporting.

Jayden and his team promise just that. The Quartermen has already shown there are high levels of interest in Wycombe, both locally and more broadly, and that audience will be superbly served by an improved product, powered by CounterPress.”

Be a part of change.
