We're Hiring: Marketing Officer
An exciting new role has been created for a creative, friendly and dynamic marketing and account management professional at CounterPress Media.
CounterPress is a digital publishing solutions platform. We provide the technical infrastructure, strategic consultancy, brand design and digital development support which allows individuals or small groups of individuals to conceive of, promote, monetise and grow their own independent sports media titles.
Thanks to rapid growth through the first half of 2026, we are hiring a hybrid role that encompasses our marketing and digital marketing, and elements of customer support.

What are the key parts of the role?
- Supporting the CounterPress network of autonomous sports media titles in promoting themselves to their communities, via social media, direct marketing, on-the-ground campaigns and other avenues.
- Providing CounterPress title owners with knowledgeable and diverse digital marketing strategic consultancy and support.
- Working with all departments to deliver high-quality account management to CounterPress outlet owners.
- Taking a leading role in developing CounterPress's internal learning environment, providing our outlet owners with the best possible chance of success.
- Taking a leading role in curating CounterPress's outlet community Discord, providing our outlet owners with connectivity and direct access to valuable advice and knowledge-sharing.
This job would suit
- An individual with a track record in digital marketing, sports marketing, digital journalism, sports journalism, social media account management, content creation, and/or passion for sport and sports media.
- Digital natives with approachable, friendly and patient personalities, who are capable of teaching customers from all ages and backgrounds in skills with which they are not necessarily familiar.
- Aspirational new entrants to the sports, media and sports media industries.
- Individuals who want to experience life as part of an ambitious startup, are confident in learning quickly and teaching others, and willing to immerse themselves in the development of the business.
CounterPress is pursuing expansion in 2027 and beyond. As such, we're keen to work with individuals who want to grow their careers with us. The right candidate will be put on a fast track to leading the business's marketing and/or account management departments in the future.
Further information
- The salary bracket for this role is between £37,000 and £42,000 per year, depending on experience, with the potential for incremental pay improvements in the years to come.

- The role is a remote position, with weekday hours. As part of a dynamic startup, you will be required to work in evenings and on weekends from time to time. Travel will be required on occasion.
